What to do if you have a concern

What to do if you suspect abuse or neglect.

In Ireland

All complaints of abuse concerning members of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, employees, or volunteers, should be made to the Ministry Centre Safeguarding Representative in the community or organisation. They will work in conjunction with the Designated Person, the local HSE and An Garda Síochána. (In Northern Ireland the civil authorities are the local Health and Social Services Trust and the PSNI.)

If the Ministry Centre Safeguarding Representative cannot be contacted please contact the Christian Brothers Safeguarding Co-ordinator.

 

In England

All complaints of abuse concerning members of the Congregation of Christian Brothers, employees, or volunteers, should be made to the Safeguarding representative in the School Office, Woodeaves, Telephone  number  0161 904 0786 Ext 4.
We will work in conjunction with the Safeguarding Officer in the Province Centre, Dublin, the local Social Services and the Police.

If the Safeguarding Representative in unavailable please contact the Safeguarding Officer in Dublin on 00353 1807 3300.

In cases of emergency, where a child appears to be at immediate or serious risk the civil authorities must be contacted directly.
