Response: Slowing Down
08/04/11 09:33
We need to slow down and allow the tranquil spirit of Mother Earth absorb us, to stop and hear the soothing sounds of rippling waters, to feel the gentle evening spring breeze caress our skin, to hear sweet birdsong, and the plaintive cry of the circling gull. Read More...
Death, the undiscovered Country

This week's reflection gives us all pause. It spurred me to recall Heidegger's reflection on the question in his Being and Time, one of the most important works of philosophy from the last century. Read More...
A Global Shift

Engaging with the New Story
21/03/11 09:56
'I am finding the opportunity to engage with the New Story in these Lenten Reflection very lifegiving. What has made a difference is being part of a small group which came together locally last week to reflect on the week's input and to share their 'resistances' and also their 'resonances' with the material.
The meeting lasts for one hour. I would really encourage anyone who is following these Reflections to meet up with even one other person each week to share how this story of a larger God impacts on their lives. And it would be a very rich resource for everyone if we can begin to share with the wider community of seekers on the blog.

Brian Cox on BBC2

Did you watch the third programme in the BBC2 series “Wonders of the Universe” last night? I have to admit that I found it less riveting than the earlier episodes. Mainly because it dealt with my least favourite New Story topic. Gravity. Think Newton and apples. And then move on to Einstein and the General Theory of Relativity. Heavy stuff. Read More...
